Council Meetings

Regular Council Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month from September through June at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the Municipal Administration Centre.

These meetings are generally open to the public. Agendas will be posted below in advance of each meeting. There is no regularly scheduled Council meeting in August.

Occasionally, meetings are required outside the regularly scheduled date and Special Council Meetings  may be called as required to address time-sensitive matters or other business that cannot wait until the next regular meeting. Notice of Special Council Meetings will be provided in accordance with the Municipality’s procedural by-law.

Appearing as a Delegation at a Meeting

Requests to appear as a delegation at a meeting must be received in writing.  Please refer to the Public Participation Policy (Policy 17) for further details on timelines and submission requirements.

Attending a Council Meeting

Council meetings are open to the public, and residents are encouraged to attend either in person or virtually.

• In Person: Council Chambers, Municipal Administration Centre, 285 Beech Hill Road
• Virtual: Join using the registration link provided with the meeting agenda.

If you plan to attend virtually, please register in advance using the link associated with the meeting agenda. A separate registration is required for each meeting. Once registered, you will receive access to view the meeting live.

Please note that some meetings may begin with or include an in-camera (closed) session, during which Council discusses confidential matters permitted under legislation, such as legal issues, personnel matters, or contract negotiations. Virtual attendees will be admitted to the meeting once it returns to the public session.

Draft minutes will be posted shortly after the meeting takes place.  Final minutes will be posted following Council approval at the next meeting – expect a minimum of one month following the Council meeting for the final approved and signed minutes to be available.
