PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT on Tuesday, April 19th, the Council of the Municipality of the County of Antigonish approved the following amendments:
- Amend the Central Antigonish Land Use By-law to rezone the two properties located at (4917 and 5003 Dunmore Road, PIDs 01244565 and 10126571) from Rural Development (RD-1) to HR-1 and HR-2 as per the Rezoning Map, and the amendment to the HR-1 zone lot standards in Part 13.2 a.) by reducing the Minimum lot area to 557.4 m² (6,000 ft²) and the Minimum lot frontage to 15.2 m (50 ft).
- Amend the County of Antigonish Wind Turbine By-law to reduce the setback distance of utility scale wind turbines from watercourses to 30 metres plus the blade length.
- Amend the Antigonish Fringe Land Use By-law to allow for more than one main building on a lot in the Business Commercial (BC-1) zone as a housekeeping amendment.
PLEASE NOTE that an aggrieved person, an adjacent Municipality, or the Provincial Director of Planning may, within 14 days of the date of this notice, appeal this decision to the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board (Toll Free 1-855-442-4448, Email: firstname.lastname@example.org).
