Council of the Municipality of the County of Antigonish intends to consider, on second reading, a By-law Respecting Commercial Dog Care and Kennel Facilities. The intent of the proposed by-law is to create a process to provide confirmation that kennel operations meet the setback and location requirements outlined in the land use by-law, and to also provide minimum standards for insulation to reduce the transmission of noise, as well as restricting the hours during which dogs can be left outdoors.
Council will meet to consider the By-Law on Tuesday, the 8th day of October, 2024 at the Council Chambers, Municipal Administration Building, 285 Beech Hill Road, Antigonish County, at 7:30 pm.
