The Municipality of the County of Antigonish is accepting resumes for positions within our Public Works Department, primarily based at our Solid Waste Management Facility. While there are no full-time positions available at this time, we are hiring for on-call and reserve roles as needed. This process helps ensure continuity of service.
The Public Works Department is under the direction of the Director of Public Works. Any hire, as part of a team, will be primarily responsible for the collection of garbage, recycling and organics in the County OR Scale House Operations at our Solid Waste Management (SWM) site; both have responsibilities for equipment used and all related safety and compliance.
The successful applicant for Collection Team Member (vehicle operator) must hold a current Class 3 Drivers License with Air Brake Endorsement, safety awareness and training, an eligible driver abstract and willingness to work in a team.
