ASSET MANAGEMANT MEETING

Continuing Business

  • The Committee made a motion that Council request quotations be issued to
  1. refine the configuration and cost of the proposed facility, optimize layouts, obtain quotes for ancillary equipment and identify potential locations for the facility.
  2. Initiate the approval process, including the execution of an application form to the Department of Environment and Climate Change.
  3. Conduct an Environmental Risk Assessment to establish compliance with effluent requirements.

New Business

  • The committee made a motion to approve CAO Shirlyn Donovan and CFO Allison Duggan to be signatories for the Cost Share Agreement for the construction of the Trunk 4 Church Street Roundabout Water and Sewer Line Relocation.

  

COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE

Continuing Business

  • The Committee received a summary of the public feedback received during the Boundary Review Information Sessions. Overall, the proposed boundaries were positively received. Revised maps will be presented to Council at the next meeting on Tuesday, December 9, 2025.
  • The Committee received an update on the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) program launching December 1, 2025. The County will continue using its own staff to collect blue bags, and the new program will allow even more items to be recycled than before.

New Business

  • The Committee looked at a new Policy Review Policy. This policy would help staff and Council understand their roles and responsibilities when reviewing policies and explain what to consider when reviewing municipal policies.
  • The Committee reviewed and approved the RK MacDonalds bylaw amendments that were recently passed by the Corporations Board of Directors.
