We want to inform residents that the Canada Post service disruption may delay the delivery of mail, including paper bills and cheque payments.
Please note that any delay caused by a mail disruption will not affect the payment due date on your account. To avoid mail delay, we encourage you to contact the Municipal Office by phone 902-863-1117 to determine any outstanding balances. Payment can be made at the front counter of the municipal office, over the phone and online through the financial banking institution.
• Property taxation charges -> Interest on any outstanding balance is calculated at 0.5% per month.
• Sewer utility charges -> Interest on any outstanding balance is calculated at 0.5% per month.
• Water Utility charges -> Interest on any outstanding balance is calculated at 1.25 % per month
For water utility customers; the water utility billing for the October/ November 2024 billing cycle will be determined the first week of December 2024. If the Canada Post service disruption continues into the first week of December 2024, please contact the main office in person or over the phone to determine any outstanding balance before payment is made.
