AT Corridor Featured in Plan Canada Magazine

The AT Corridor along Trunk 4 in Antigonish County is featured in the Spring Plan Canada Magazine in an article written by Deputy Clerk Beth Schumacher, Recreation Director Marlene Melanson and Active Living Coordinator Meaghan MacNeil.

The Antigonish Active Transportation Corridor is an example of right-sizing existing legacy transportation infrastructure to create active living opportunities for rural residents.  Collaboration with neighbouring municipalities, institutions, community members and organizations, as well as other levels of government saw an idea move from plan development to facilities opening for public use in ten years.  Opportunities for future network growth will strengthen active transportation connections in a small town and rural area.
