NOTICE OF APPROVAL
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT on Tuesday, October 08th, 2024 the Council of the Municipality of the County of Antigonish approved the following, which are in effect as of the date of this publication:
- Proposed amendment to the West River Antigonish Harbour, Central Antigonish, and Keppoch-Beaver Mountain Plan Areas Municipal Planning Strategies and Land Use By-laws regarding Kennel Provisions:
- Changing, and adding where applicable, the definition of kennel, specifically to clarify what constitutes a kennel and what does not; and
- Adding kennels as a permitted use subject to special requirements in several zones under the Keppoch Beaver Mountain Plan Area, the West River Antigonish Harbour Plan Area and the Central Antigonish Plan Area.

NOTICE OF ADOPTION
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, the Council of the Municipality of the County of Antigonish approved on 2nd and Final Reading, a By-law Respecting Commercial Dog Care and Kennel Facilities for the County of Antigonish. This by-law comes into effect with the publishing of this ad.
Copies of the approved By-law Respecting Commercial Dog Care and Kennel Facilities may be inspected at the Municipal Administration Office at 285 Beech Hill Road, Antigonish, NS between the hours of 9:00am and 4:30pm, Monday to Friday, excluding statutory holidays, or at www.antigonishcounty.ca
