The County hosted a successful Scotiabank Mini-Pitch Grand Opening & MYMA Fun Day! The skies cleared in time for the opening ceremonies and ribbon cutting, featuring remarks from local Trevor Reddick, Cathy Manear (Scotiabank), Warden Nicholas MacInnis, Mayor Sean Cameron, MLA Michelle Thompson, Rec Director Marlene Melanson, Matt Ciavarro (Musco) and Community Sport EDI Navigator Maria Fraser.
Guests highlighted the impact this space will have in rural Nova Scotia and the power of partnerships to bring a vision like this to life.
A special shout-out to Make Your Move Antigonish & County Rec summer staff for hosting the fun day and the U11 Girls Celtics, and the U10 Boys Junior X-Men for warming up the pitch! And thank you to all the partners—and to the community—for making this day a success.
The County invites you to check out the Antigonish Scotiabank Mini-Pitch—a free, shared space open to everyone. Get out, have fun, and LET’S PLAY! See you on the pitch!
