(October 9, 2025) The Town & County have received federal funding to increase housing availability and affordability in the community through the Housing Accelerator Fund (HAF). HAF is a fund that supports municipalities in removing barriers to housing construction and increasing the supply of diverse, affordable, and climate-resilient housing options.
With the first round of funding, the Town & County are focused on 3 main initiatives:
- Updating policies and zoning regulations in the Town to support the construction of more missing middle and higher-density housing
- Updating policies and zoning regulations to support the construction of Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) in the Town and County
- Updating the Residential Improvement Bylaws in the County to expand the use of this tool to include additional infrastructure, like roads and sidewalks
